What is this?

sebslist is an app that let's you easily loan and borrow items to a trusted set of people. The goal is to save people money and produce less waste.

How do I join?

You can join the waitlist or be invited by an existing member.

Why not use [insert other social network/app here]?

We shouldn't have to sign-up for some massive, data-harvesting social network or deal with scammers to sell/borrow things. sebslist is built around trust and small social graphs. This means bad actors are far less likely.

What makes it special?

I've implemented an artificially constrained social network (ACSN) with hard limits on the size of the social graph. After you join, you can only ever have 10 primary connections. You can choose to expand your network by three degrees all the way up to a maximum of 1000 connections or restrict to 1st degree. It's your choice.

This allows you to gain the benefit of a small social network (trust and familiarity) with the optional benefit of a larger social network (reach and increased opportunity).
